Restoration Levy

The London Assembly has published its report following its investigation into ways of securing necessary funding to restore West End theatres. The report identifies a number of fund raising initiatives, including the introduction of a ticket levy. Following established practice on Broadway and in line with a number of other theatre operators in the West End and regionally, Nimax Theatres has therefore decided to introduce a £1 levy on each ticket sold to assist in the essential work required to preserve our beautiful Grade II listed buildings for future generations and as part of England’s theatrical heritage.

Our historic buildings require significant ongoing maintenance and renovation. The restoration levy is a recognised means of helping to fund essential work and all money raised will be held in a separate bank account and invested exclusively in the theatres’ refurbishment projects which would otherwise remain uncompleted.
